WHO WE ARE
Bringing People Together. Bringing Downtown To Life.
The Oxnard Downtowners Foundation began as a grassroots effort by downtown merchants and volunteers in the late 1980s, united by a commitment to revitalizing Downtown Oxnard and the effort to reopen A Street, then a pedestrian mall. The organization later played a critical role in establishing Downtown Oxnard’s Property-Based Improvement District (PBID). Today, the Oxnard Downtowners Foundation, established as a public nonprofit in 2017, carries that legacy forward through community events, cultural celebrations, and partnerships. From the Oxnard Farmers Market and First Thursdays Food Trucks to the Christmas Parade, Salsa Festival, Heritage Square Summer Concerts, Annual Christmas Tree Lighting, and Holly Trolley Light Tours, we continue to create and sustain cherished community traditions while supporting a vibrant, welcoming, and economically healthy Downtown Oxnard.

• Oxnard Downtown Police Storefront
• Plaza Park Summer Concert Series

And finally, and perhaps most important, we serve as a voice for downtown and an advocate for positive change:
